Since childhood, Board Certified Osteopathic Physician Dr. Farnoush Ghaderi has known her calling was in the realm of science and healing. She knew, from an early age, that she would devote her life to using cutting-edge methods in improving patient health.
As a proponent of functional medicine, Dr. Ghaderi has an extensive education that marries the innovations within Western Medicine with the time-tested approaches found in Eastern medicine. Dr. Ghaderi received two Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Virginia Tech. She then attended the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she obtained her medical degree. She completed her Family Medicine residency with a concentration in functional medicine at Eastern Connecticut Health Network, Manchester Memorial Hospital. As an educator at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Ghaderi primed the next generation of physicians by teaching primary care to medical students.
Once she completed her medical degree, Dr. Ghaderi furthered her education by studying under some of the top alternative medicine experts in the country. During her residency years, she received training in herbal medicine and bio-identical hormones, working alongside naturopaths, osteopathic physicians, and functional compounding pharmacists.
Dr. Ghaderi’s passion for hormonal medicine began when she attended a bio-identical hormonal replacement therapy symposium, where she learned about balancing hormones using natural compounds. After extensively studying and researching breakthroughs in BHRT she began to implement this modern approach into her practice, receiving remarkable results from patients. Dr. Ghaderi received her Endocrinology training from the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine and also from Worldlink Medical. Dedicated to her patients, she continues to pursue her education in the field of anti-aging medicine and bio-identical hormones.
Dr. Ghaderi additionally received Lipedema training at Total Lipedema Care alongside world-renown Endocrinology specialist MD/PhD, Dr. Karen Herbst. During her training, Dr. Ghaderi received education on connective tissue disorders and learned the most advanced methods of diagnosing and treating lipedema. She further observed plastic surgeon Dr. Jaime Schwartz, MD, FACS, in the operating room, receiving her education on the most innovative lipedema treatment available, manual lipedema extraction, straight from the creator of the technique.
Wanting to provide her patients with the most effective care possible drives Dr. Ghaderi to continuously further her research and education. Dr. Ghaderi’s approach is holistic, using each individual patient’s genetics, lifestyle, and health history to create treatment plans specific to their needs.
